My fascination with money, and the possibilities it offered, led me to pursue a BA in Business and Economics at Howard University, then an MBA in Finance at Rutgers. I received executive training in Investment Banking through Chase Manhattan. Later, I managed a merchant bank, owned an investment bank, and received my license from the SEC as a Financial Advisor.
My interests then turned to residential real estate. I became a licensed broker, enabling me to buy, build and sell two successful real estate franchises. On the side, I became involved with real estate investing. I also enjoyed training the agents I had hired and watched as they became high performers, and achieved financial independence.
Along the way, inspired by smart people like Tony Robinson, I completed Toastmaster, training to follow their footsteps onstage as a public speaker. There, I received satisfaction from inspiring others to become solopreneurs, as a path to financial independence.
